Location

The Natural Birth Education & Research Centre (NBERC) is situated only 30 minutes from the coastline of Ballina and 15 minutes from Lismore. The 18 acre property is hidden amongst lush trees and an organic orchard. It is simply the perfect environment for stress free learning – enjoying the countryside, the organic food and produce, while focusing on the topic at hand.

As a non profit organization NBERC is coordinated by its residents, parents, childbirth educators, midwives, obstetricians & doulas. All are dedicated to offering parents and health care providers appropriate information, education, supervision and guidance for encouraging natural birth.

All income derived from rental of the venue is contributed to the financial maintenance of the centre.

Directions to Natural Birth Education & Research Centre Inc

Our centre is sited on the North Coast of New South Wales between Ballina & Lismore.

From Pacific Highway – North to South – Go thru Ballina, past the BIG Prawn, turn left to Alstonville.  If coming from south turn at Lismore, Casino Alstonville sign. At first roundabout in Alstonville , drive thru main town to Wollongbar & the Bellowing Bull restaurant, stay on Bruxner Highway (past the TAFE – on right).

Next intersection you will see the Water Tower & Garden Centre on right –

TURN LEFT at this BP Fuel station. This is Lindendale Road.  Drive past the Aquarium – stay on tar, thru a causeway (see other directions if flooded – only if there has been more than two days rain) drive up hill past red letter box on left (311) – we are next on left – No 273.  The centre is signed as the Birth Education Centre.  Drive to end of driveway.

If raining – use above directions but do not turn into Lindendale Road.  Keep travelling along Bruxner Highway and turn at next left into Alphadale Road (Macadamia Processing plant on right & Church Gift shop on left).  And continue by following the directions as given from Lismore direction (see below).

From Lismore – Find Bruxner Highway – follow Goonellabah, Alstonville Ballina signs.

After last roundabout (at IGA complex) turn LEFT into Alphadale Road.

Travel approx 2.5 kls turn left at next corner into Lindendale Road (this is difficult to see – if you get to Rouse Road with little church on left then you have gone too far. Drive down Lindendale Rd – it swings to the left at Boundary Road. We are next on left.
